FAQs

1. What types of counselling do you offer?

I offer individual counselling for adults and adolescents, couples counselling, and life transition support.

Sessions are available both in-person and online via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

2. Where are in-person sessions held?

In-person counselling is available by appointment at professional office spaces in Rivonia, Bryanston, or Sandton, depending on your location and availability.

3. How do I choose between in-person and online counselling?

Both options are equally effective. Choose what works best for your lifestyle and comfort. Online sessions offer flexibility and privacy, while in-person sessions allow for a face-to-face connection in a quiet, professional setting.

4. What is the cost of a session?

All sessions — in-person or online — are R750 for a 50-minute session for Individual, Grief, Life management and transitions counselling. Payment details will be provided upon booking.

5. Do you accept medical aid?

Yes, I am registered with the HPCSA (PRC 0044792) and have a BHF practice number (1246968).
I accept most medical aids, but it’s always best to confirm with your provider whether counselling with a Registered Counsellor is covered under your specific plan.

6. How do I book a session?

You can book a session via my website or by emailing me directly. Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive a welcome email, intake forms, and session details.

7. What should I expect in my first session?

The first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, understand your goals for counselling, and go through your intake form. We’ll also discuss confidentiality and how we’ll work together.

8. Is my information kept confidential?

Absolutely. As a Registered Counsellor, I comply with the HPCSA Code of Ethics and POPIA regulations. Everything discussed in session is confidential unless there’s a risk of harm to you or someone else.

9. What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations require at least 24 hours’ notice to avoid being charged the full session fee.

10. What platform do you use for online sessions?

I use Zoom or Microsoft Teams, based on your preference. You’ll receive a secure link before your session.

11. What issues can I bring to counselling?

You’re welcome to bring anything you’d like to explore, including:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Stress or burnout

  • Relationship or parenting difficulties

  • Grief and loss

  • Life changes or identity transitions

  • Feeling overwhelmed or stuck

12. Are after-hours or weekend appointments available?

Yes. I offer limited after-hours and Saturday appointments, subject to availability. Let me know what works for your schedule.

13. Do you offer counselling for children?

I work with adolescents (13+) and adults. If you’re looking for counselling for a younger child, I’d be happy to refer you to a qualified Psychologist.
